Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco is close to agreeing a €70m deal to sign for Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang, according to reports circulating in Spain.

Cadena Cope were the news outlet to discuss the potential deal, and spoke of how the Belgian’s former club Monaco would be entitled to 30% of any fee made on the player.

The report also claims that the deal is at an ‘advanced’ stage, despite Atleti Coach Diego Simeone being ‘highly reluctant’ to sanction the sale.

Marca state that Carrasco was due to play for Atleti in their fixture against FC Copenhagen on Thursday night, but the decision to leave him out of the matchday squad has been made due to the ongoing talks.

The 24-year-old has been limited to only eight league starts for Atleti so far this season, falling further down the pecking order with the January arrivals of Diego Costa and Vitolo.
