New Arsenal signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has compared himself to Gunners legend Thierry Henry after sealing a move from Dortmund.
The Gabon international had his deadline day move to the Emirates Stadium confirmed after a fortnight of back-and-forth negotiations between the two clubs.
Aubameyang becomes Arsenal’s record signing, but he feels he has some improving to do before he can match up with club legends like Henry.
He told Arsenal.com: “Finally I am really happy to be here of course I can join Miki [Henrikh Mkhitaryan] in this team. I am really happy to be here in this great team.
“I think the club have such a big history and have great players like Thierry Henry who is an example for all strikers.
“He was fast and scored a lot of goals he was really an example. Maybe [I am like him] but I have to work a lot to be like him and I will do.
“I am a fast player and score goals too, like Henry. I have to work a lot to get there. ‘I hope that we come back to the top as soon as possible.”
