Balotelli resurgence stopped by shooting practice injury

Mario Balotelli’s progress at Nice has been hindered by an injury sustained in training whilst practicing his shooting.

Since leaving Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer, the Italian has shown signs of his former self with seven goals for the French club – six of them scored in Ligue 1.

But he is now set for a short, but frustrating spell on the sidelines after his manager confirmed Balotelli’s minor setback to reporters.

“He won’t be available for the three matches to come over the next 10 days, that’s for sure,” said Lucien Favre.

“For the matches that come after that, we don’t know yet.”
