Barcelona are reportedly confident that they will tie up deals to bring in a pair of midfielders next summer.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants are confident of signing PSG star Adrien Rabiot and Ajax talent Frenkie De Jong in the summer of 2019.

Rabiot, 23, can walk away from PSG for free next summer and they are desperate to keep hold of the player, who has been linked with Barca, Juventus and AC Milan.

It’s also claimed that Rabiot is also emerging as a target for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and it’s suggested the Reds could sign the player on a pre-contract agreement in January, if he turns down a move to the Camp Nou.

At the start of July Paris United claimed both Manchester clubs had held talks over a possible summer deal.

De Jong meanwhile was reportedly close to a move to Barcelona this summer, until the young star decided to stay put and continue his education with the Dutch giants.

Part of De Jong’s reasoning was Ajax’s qualification for the Champions League, where his side have been paired with Bayern Munich, AEK Athens and Benfica in Group E.

Spurs have also been linked with a move for the 21-year-old, who is believed to be worth in the region of £40m.
