Barcelona finalising deal for first January signing

Barcelona are ready to finalise their first January signing, according to a report in Spain.
Sport claim the Blaugrana will replace Javier Mascherano with Colombian defender Yerry Mina.
Former Liverpool man Mascherano will be leaving the Camp Nou in the January transfer window as he looks for more game time to seal his place in Argentina’s World Cup squad.
The midfielder, turned defender has an agreement in place with Hebei Fortune and is set to leave Spain in the winter transfer window.
Barcelona though have already identified the replacement for Mascherano with Palmeiras man Mina believed to be heading to Catalonia for a fee exceeding €9million.
The report claims Barca were lining up the 23-year-old centre-back for a summer move, but the departure of Mascherano has speeded up the deal.
Barcelona will pay an extra €5million to €10million on the fee, depending on how much Hebei Fortune end up paying for Mascherano.
Mina, who is under contract until 2020, has scored five goals in 21 appearances this season for Palmeiras, who finished second in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
