Barcelona had a secret meeting with Marcus Rashford before he signed a new contract at Manchester United this summer, it is claimed.
The England forward agreed improved terms to his United deal in July, putting an end to the rumours that had linked him with a move to the La Liga champions.
His previous contract had been due to expire at the end of the season, which meant Barcelona were considering making a bid of up to £100m.
Now, Unibet have revealed that the Catalan giants were interested in Rashford for three main reasons: his quality, age, and ability to play in a front three.
The feature claims that Rashford’s family visited Barcelona to listen to the club’s proposal, which ultimately was not enough to convince the striker to sign.
