Bayern refusing to abandon chase for £70m-rated Chelsea star

Bayern Munich are reportedly refusing to abandon their £70million pursuit of England ace Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Bundesliga giants have so far failed in their attempts to land Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, but they are are still keen on Chelsea counterpart Hudson-Odoi.

Bayern are, however, fully aware that they must wait to see how the teenager’s future at Stamford Bridge develops – with Frank Lampard now installed as Stamford Bridge chief.

The 18-year-old is currently recovering from the ruptured Achilles injury he suffered in April, but Lampard has insisted that he wants the winger to stay and sign a £100,000-a-week deal already on the table.

But there are reports that Hudson-Odoi, who has won two senior England caps, could well decide to run down his current deal – which has only a year left to run – and exit for nothing in 12 months from now.

Hudson-Odoi has made only 12 Premier League appearances in his fledgling career, which makes his supposed £70m price tag even more incredible, as Bayern continue to monitor the youngster’s situation.
