James Rodriguez has caused a stir among the Real Madrid hierarchy by expressing his desire to move to the Premier League, a report claims.

According to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital, the on-loan Bayern Munich midfielder has angered Real by trying to force through a summer move to Manchester United.

The Colombian international departed Real for Bayern last summer on a two-year loan deal, reportedly rejecting a move to Old Trafford.

The former Monaco man has been impressive for the Bavarian club during the first 12 months of his spell, helping them to another Bundesliga title.

Bayern have already stated their intention to activate the player’s £37million clause and sign him permanently.

However, despite this, El Gol Digital now believe he could snub both Bayern and his parent club in order to push through a move to England.

They even claim that has held talks with Jose Mourinho over the phone in which he expressed his desire to join him at Manchester United. There is a possibility that Bayern could sign the 26-year-old permanently before offloading for a larger fee.
