Emmanuel Emenike: Linked with West Ham switch

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic remains hopeful of striking a deal with Fenerbahce for Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike before the January transfer window closes.

Emenike, 28, has spent the last six months on loan with United Arab Emirates outfit Al Ain from Turkish club Fenerbahce.

With Andy Carroll out injured once again, West Ham are keen to dip into the transfer market for a replacement, but Bilic says there is no deal in place yet.

“There is no clear agreement about Emenike,” Bilic said.

“He is an important player but Fenerbahce may need another striker first, so it’s by no means certain that they will release him.”
