Blackburn swoop to sign Newcastle star on permanent deal

Blackburn have signed striker Adam Armstrong from Newcastle after a successful loan spell last season.
The 21-year-old has agreed a four-year deal at Ewood Park and returns to Rovers, where he spent the second half of the 2017/18 campaign.
Armstrong scored nine times for the club in nine games between February 10 and April 2, becoming a fan favourite at Blackburn in the process.
The England Under-21 international is Tony Mowbray’s fourth signing of the summer after Joe Rothwell, Jacob Davenport and Kasey Palmer.
