Bombshell Tottenham claim as Crystal Palace express interest in star Postecoglou has ignored

Crystal Palace could complete a surprise raid on London rivals Tottenham Hotspur this summer, as a report has revealed the Eagles’ interest in defender Eric Dier.
The centre-back has made 361 appearances for Tottenham since joining from Portuguese outfit Sporting in July 2014. However, his time with the club could soon come to an end.
Tottenham are heading into a new era under Ange Postecoglou. And the manager is ready to make some big changes in defence.
Tottenham often operated with a back three and wing-backs under predecessor Antonio Conte. But in Tottenham’s opening Premier League game against Brentford, Postecoglou went with a backline of Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal.
It looks like Postecoglou’s first-choice centre-back pairing will be new signing Van De Ven and Romero. According to a report from 90Min, Postecoglou is also more likely to use Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies than Dier this term.
As such, there is a good chance the Englishman will be sold as Spurs aim to trim down their oversized squad.

90Min state that a host of clubs have been alerted to the opportunity of signing Dier, who has played 49 times for the England national team so far in his career.
In a rather surprising summer link, Palace have registered their interest in Dier. Roy Hodgson’s side know they will need to bring in a new central defender if one of Marc Guehi or Joachim Andersen leave and have landed on Dier as a solid replacement. The 29-year-old has the experience needed to help Palace continue pushing for a top-10 finish.
Crystal Palace tipped to make shock Eric Dier signing
However, Palace will face plenty of competition for Dier’s services as he is also wanted by several other clubs. There is the potential for Dier to return to Sporting, where he came through the ranks and initially rose to prominence.
Sporting may be in the market for a new centre-back if Goncalo Inacio departs amid links with Liverpool, and they are ready to offer Dier the chance to head back to Portugal.
Elsewhere, Dier is also of interest to French side Monaco, a host of Bundesliga teams and Scottish giants Celtic.
Dier has previously spoken about his desire to play in mainland Europe again after his previous experience in Portugal. Despite this, it would make sense if he moved to Palace next.
There is good reason to suggest that a switch to Selhurst Park would give Dier the best chance of getting back into the England setup and surpassing the 50-cap mark.
Meanwhile, Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk includes Spurs seriously considering a controversial Chelsea raid.
