Brentford have decided to take up the option of re-signing midfielder Florian Jozefzoon on a one-year deal, six months after arriving at the club.

Dutch winger Jozefzoon, 26, signed a six-month deal when arriving from PSV Eindhoven in January and the Bees have triggered a clause to extend his stay, the club have announced.

Brentford paid an undisclosed fee for Jozefzoon when making him their first January transfer window signing and gave him the option of a further year.

He made 19 appearances for the Londoners during the second half of the season and scored his only goal in the 1-1 draw at Barnsley in April.
