Andrea Ranocchia: Favours Serie A stay

Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion have reportedly made contact with both Milan clubs over central defenders.

Representatives of the Seagulls travelled to Milan a few days ago to meet AC Milan and Inter, according to an exclusive from Calciomercato.com.

The report claims that they have set their sights on Andrea Ranocchia of Inter, a player who spent time on loan at Hull last season and was linked with a move to West Brom and Huddersfield in the summer.

They also met representatives of AC Milan on the 26th of November to discuss the availability of Paraguay internation Gustavo Gomez, who has struggled for game time this season, with Boca Juniors also interested in signing him.

AC Milan are apparently open to selling Gomez and will listen to any offer made, however Inter do not want to sell Ranocchia as he is the third option for Spalletti at the back.
