Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of 20-year-old forward Billy Arce on a four-year deal from Ecuadorian club CSD Independiente Del Valle for an undisclosed fee.

Arce made 22 appearances last season for Independiente and scored seven goals.

The Ecuadorian will be immediately loaned out on a season-long loan to Extremadura UD who play in La Liga 2 in Spain.

Albion’s pathway development manager David Weir, said, “We will monitor his progress over the course of the season during his time with Extremadura UD, and we hope the loan move will enable him to continue his development here in Europe.”
It’s not just new signings Hughton has to be happy about, securing Solly March’s services for another four years after attracting interest from Everton.
Brighton will start their Premier League campaign on Saturday with a trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford.
