Bundesliga move looking likely for Everton defender

Jonjoe Kenny TEAMtalk

Schalke 04 want to sign Everton full-back Jonjoe Kenny, according to a report in Germany.

Kenny, 22, is a target for David Wagner in Gelsenkirchen, according to German outlet Bild.

The former Huddersfield boss is keen on Kenny, who only made nine Premier League appearances last season after struggling to dislodge Seamus Coleman.

Per the source, Schalke are prepared to offer Kenny more minutes in the Bundesliga and want to sign the defender on loan with a view to a permanent transfer.

Crystal Palace and Burnley are also in the running for Kenny, but the England Under-21 player looks destined to move to Germany.

Everton recently loaned out Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig, and he grew in stature in the Bundesliga, so Kenny may well be offered a similar chance.
