Burnley are set to bid £18m for West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez six years after he left the club to join Southampton.
The one-time England international joined the Baggies last summer for £12m and scored just seven Premier League goals as they were relegated to the Championship.
Sky Sports News now claim that the Clarets’ desperation for a striker has led them back to Rodriguez, who is said to be willing to return to the Clarets.
They reportedly had a £16m bid turned down last week and will now return with £18m for a player who has also been linked with Tottenham.
Burnley seem to be solely interested in English signings, having spent £15m on Ben Gibson and £3.5m on Joe Hart, while also being linked with Sam Clucas.
Incredible reports emerging that Tottenham Hotspur are now planning a move for West Brom forward Jay Rodriguez.#thfc have thrown their hat in the mad race to sign the #wbafc man as it is believed Poch would like to work with him again.
