Rafael Camacho TEAMtalk

Bundesliga pair RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are keen on Liverpool midfielder Rafael Camacho, claims a report.

Portuguese outlet Record report that there is plenty of interest in the 18-year-old, who recently voiced his displeasure at being played out of position at Anfield.

His comments have led to a wave of transfer speculation regarding his future, with reports suggesting he would like to turn down a return to Sporting CP and move instead to fellow Premier League side Wolves.

Camacho could become the latest of several Portuguese stars to move to Molineux, potentially joining up with the likes of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Diogo Jota and Rui Patricio, but they face competition from Germany.

When asked about Camacho’s future recently, Jurgen Klopp said: “Wonderful player, really good player, both-footed, very well-educated in Portugal and we gave him the next level.

“So really good player, but what he will do and where he wants to go or not, that’s nothing we speak about today.”

Camacho is under contract at Anfield until 2020, and recently turned down an offer of a five-year extension. He was also refused the chance to leave Liverpool on loan in January, but has since played just twice for the first team.

According to A Bola, Liverpool will reluctantly do business at £8m for Camacho this summer.

Camacho scored a hat-trick playing on the right wing against Leicester City’s U23’s earlier this month in a 6-0 thrashing, but afterwards he hit out at the club for playing him at right-back previously.

“I do not know whose idea it is, but I will prove that they are mistaken about my football,” Camacho’s posted on Instagram.

“I’m not a right defender, I’m an attacker who scores goals. This is my DNA.

“Happy to score three goals and help the team in today’s win vs Leicester.”
