There will be a Manchester derby and a London derby in the Carabao Cup semi-finals after the draw was made.
Man City are the reigning champions, having won the past three editions of the competition. To have a chance of making it four in a row, they will have to see off their cross-city rivals first.
United and City met in the semi-finals of the competition last year, with the latter winning 3-2 on aggregate after both teams won their away leg.
This year, it will be a single-leg game that decides who will progress to the final. United will be hoping to overcome their struggles in semi-finals last season.
They reached the last four of three competitions without progressing to any finals. It will be an entertaining battle to see if they can this time.
In the other tie, Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham will host Championship side Brentford.
Mourinho has won this competition every previous time he has reached this stage, so will be hoping for his first piece of silverware with Spurs.
Brentford, meanwhile, will be trying to stop them. They are hoping to become the first side from outside the Premier League to reach the final since Bradford City in 2013.
Brentford are already at the furthest stage they have ever reached in a major cup competition.
