Reports suggest that we have made £41m bid of PSG striker E. Cavani. but to my shock PSG is demanding £66.5m, for someone who hasn’t progressed since they paid that £53m 3 years ago. i don’t know what justifies their demands.

We seem to have been linked to Cavani for years. Personally, I’m glad it’s never happened as I’ve always thought him massively overrated and overpriced. If we spend that sort of money on him now, at 29, the world has indeed gone mad.

    Agree load of old b*******,
And to top that, Everton have reportedly slapped 75mill on Lukaku, WOW, did they not see him in the euros, stay well clear of both.
indeed the football world is really stretching itself way beyond reality, but as they say”market forces”

really not happy with this. Chelsea are becoming nuts and again spending for nothing. I think behind the scene, my feeling: management knows that Costa would leave. So this is kinda a panic plan to recruit anybody available on the market for striker

I read we had bid £41.5m for Cavani??? Which is still too much imo but the market’s bonkers at the moment.

Allegedly we offered £62m for Morata which looks to me twice what he is realistically worth and Madrid want £67m? Can’t believe if that was the case a deal wouldn’t have got done based on just a £5m differential on a £60m plus transfer.

£50m for Lukaku is ridiculous, £65m/£75m for Lukaku complete lunacy.

After the nonsense last season on Stones tell Everton to go swivel re Begovic.

Given that we have paid £50m for over the hill and injured Fernando Torres, i won’t be surprised if we pay £65m for Cavani. i think we should take heart from how Leicester Fc is run and how they conduct their business. selling Lukaku for £28m and buying him for £75m seems to be a smart piece of business.

Yes the world has gone crazy. Just look at the reported prices for Higuian (£78mill) and Pogba (£130mill). It’s just stupid.

Realistically, the value should be pitched around £35-40 mill, however he is into his prime, and possibly, 2-3 good seasons in offering of the highest level and quality.

Given the fact that the Pogba transfer is now being projected to cost United £130m and Higuain at a similar age to Cavani is going to Juve for £79m the alleged circa £60m that PSG are said to be looking for Cavani could almost be considered a bargain.???

999, Higuain is a profilic forward who has scored 36 goals for Napoli last season. no player has ever matched that tally before. for that case i think £79m price tag for him is justified IMO. on the other hand Pogba to United for £130m could be the biggest transfer failure if its not handled careful. i don’t know what justifies £66.5m for Cavani who has been a back up striker for most part of his PSG career.

All about opinions mate but Higuain wasnt considered good enough for Real and ended up in a bit of a back water ckub in Napoli. He scored goals last season but £79m for a near 29 year old is far from justifued imo but totally bonkers and reflects Juve being flush with the Pogba money and Napoli having a £79m.buy out clause and I certainly wouldn’t want us buying Cavani for anything like £66m and I hope we wont!

Costa will go soon I guess and we are kinda panicking to find a new striker as Real keep rejecting our bid for Morata. Not good (sic…again) our pre-season. We cannot wrap up the deals quickly and have a stable core for the pre-season
