Centre-back exasperated by father’s comments over ‘blocked’ £6.9m Chelsea move

Chelsea have seen a move for Malmo centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic blocked, according to the player’s father.
The 21-year-old has been impressing for Malmo in Sweden’s top flight and Chelsea among other top European clubs have been linked with the defender.
In fact only last week Expressen in Sweden claimed the Blues are interested in Ahmedhodzic.
The report claimed Chelsea would be willing to offer a five-year contract to the player, who has also been interesting AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven.
However, according to Ahmedhodzic’s father Mirsad Chelsea are more than interested and in fact want to sign the player. But Ahmedhodzic Senior has accused his son’s representative, Markus Rosenberg, of blocking the deal.
“He’s [Rosenberg] not doing his job. He has told Marina [Granovskaia] at Chelsea that Anel is not going there,” Mirsad Ahmedhodzic told Sportbladet.
‘He [Anel] wants to go abroad after the season finishes.”
Instead Ahmedhodzic Senior wants Italian agent Fredrico Pastorello to broker the deal and says Pastorello has been in talks with several clubs across Europe.
“Markus hasn’t arranged this, he doesn’t have the contacts. I have tried to inform Markus that Pastorello wants to cooperate with him,” added Ahmedhodzic.
The outspoken Mirsad Ahmedhodzic has also attacked Rosenberg in a post on Malmo’s official Facebook page.
He penned that the agent “separates the child from the father and the mother for money”.

Anel slams father’s comments
However, the situation has been complicated further by the Anel Ahmedhodzic condemning his father’s comments.
Ahmedhodzic Junior, who started his professional career at Nottingham Forest, says his father is damaging his reputation.
“I can start by saying that I am very disappointed,” Ahmedhodzic told Kvallsposten.
“To write such things on social media and call other people idiots, not to support me. I have always felt a love for him. But I have not felt any support, he has not supported me in the right way.
“Especially not now when things are going so well for me.
“I focus on my matches and my football, nothing else. I try to be as humble as I can, I try to do everything in a positive way, I try to be mature in my answers and my thoughts.
“But as you can see. My dad’s not there. He writes various things, especially on Facebook.
“This is not the first time he has done so. He was also involved when I played in Nottingham Forest, he wrote in some forums there and it has always affected me negatively.
“I have always received criticism for it.”
Ahmedhodzic made his senior debut for Bosnia-Herzegovina earlier this year. He had previously represented his country of birth Sweden at youth level.
