Chelsea, Arsenal join big hitters in chase for impressive Santos striker

Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal have reportedly joined the chase to sign highly-rated Santos attacker Kaio Jorge this summer.
The 19-year-old is a product of the Santos youth academy who was promoted to the first-team squad during last season.
Jorge has since gone on to make 51 senior appearances, scoring nine goals in all competitions.
At this stage he is very much regarded as one for the future and a ‘project’ for any club that signs him. And it would appear that there are countless teams queueing up for his signature.
Calciomercato states that as well as the English duo, Ajax, Inter, Juventus, Lyon and Shakhtar Donetsk are also keen.
Only last week, Santos president Andres Rueda confirmed the club were struggling to reach an agreement over a contract extension.
That has seemingly opened the door for European clubs to make their move. Chelsea, however, might just have a leg up on their rivals.
The report adds that the Blues have held talks with the teenager’s agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, who also represents Blues old boys Oscar, Willian and David Luiz.

Tuchel: Chelsea players have a strong bond
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel says special moments have helped build a strong bond between his players.
But with Willian and Luiz now in north London, it is likely that Arsenal may also have made enquries over a deal.

London clubs in scrap for Milan star
Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham are all interested in AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to a report.
Kessie has established himself as a key component of the Milan side that has shown fresh ambition this season.
They seem to have fallen off the pace in the Serie A title race, but even so, few would have predicted them to be second at this stage after a difficult few years.
Kessie has been one of their better players ever since he joined from Atalanta in 2017. To date, he has made 170 appearances for the club across all competitions.
This season has been no different for the Ivorian, who remains in good form. The nine goals he has scored in Serie A so far is already his best ever return in a single campaign.
With Milan as a club drawing attention as well thanks to their improved showing this season, the eyes of Premier League clubs have been on Kessie.
According to Milan Live, the London trio of Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham are all long-term admirers of the 24-year-old.
It’s believed Kessie, who has been linked with Chelsea in the past, would adapt perfectly to English football. Therefore, the three London rivals are continuing their interest. Read more…
