Radamel Falcao: Has not seen much action for Chelsea

Chelsea flop Radamel Falcao is a target for MLS side Columbus Crew as speculation mounts that the Colombian striker could leave Stamford Bridge this month.

The 29-year-old is currently in the middle of another poor loan spell in the Premier League from Monaco. He has so far made just one start and a total of nine league appearances for Chelsea, scoring one goal.

His struggles at Stamford Bridge follow a year-long loan at Manchester United last season, where the former Atletico Madrid star also failed to impress.

The Colombia international currently has a thigh injury, picked up in a training game. But it has not prevented Columbus Crew from opening talks for his services, according to the Daily Mirror.

Although Falcao’s injury means he is unlikely to move this month Chelsea could still get his £140,000-a-week wages off their wage bill as the MLS season does not begin until March, by which time he is likely to be fit.
