Chelsea have joined Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race for a Lazio star this summer, a report claims.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Blues have set their sights on Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a possible target.

Chelsea have already reinforced their midfield in the current transfer window, adding Napoli star Jorginho in a £50m deal that followed Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as boss.

Il Messaggero claimed last week that the Red Devils have held talks with Lazio over a transfer for Milinkovic-Savic with a possible deal amounting to over £100million.

Meanwhile, an exclusive from stated Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has entered the transfer saga surrounding the 23-year-old, with the Spanish giants set to offer a fee of €100million plus up to €20million in bonuses.

However, Milinkovic-Savic did hint following Serbia’s exit from the World Cup that he would be happy to remain in Rome.
