Chelsea are planning to offload two unwanted players in the summer to fund a welcome move for Jadon Sancho, claims a report.

With the coronavirus pandemic hitting clubs financially across Europe, Chelsea are hoping to cash in on Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata with the Daily Express claiming they want to bank close to £80million for the pair.

Both players are out on loan this season and the Blues want to move them on permanently this summer to raise funds so they can go and sign Borussia Dortmund star Sancho.

England ace Sancho, 20, will cost around £120million, but if Chelsea can bank some cash with the quick sales of Bakayoko and Morata they will hope they can beat Manchester United to his signature.

Bakayoko, 25, rejoined his former club Monaco on loan until June 30 and the French club have an option to buy the midfielder, who spent last season with AC Milan. The Rossoneri though pulled the plug on a permanent deal with Chelsea’s €35m asking price – which was non-negotiable – deemed too excessive.

Chelsea striker Morata’s future is all but resolved and the 27-year-old will join Atletico Madrid on a permanent basis for €65million after his 18-month loan expires at the end of this season.

The Spain international scored 24 goals in 72 appearances for the Blues after joining from Real Madrid in 2017 and after the deal was drawn up last summer the Blues are just waiting for Atletico to sign off on the transfer.

“We would like to thank Alvaro for his contribution and wish him the best of luck for the future,” Chelsea said in a statement on their official website last July.
