Chelsea are reportedly ready to test Fenerbahce’s resolve with a £16million bid for Danish international centre-back Simon Kjaer.
According to La Gazetta dello Sport, via Calciomercato, the Blues want to add to their defensive options with this surprise choice.
Kjaer has vast experience having played in the Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue One and is currently impressing with his current club Fenerbahce.
The Turkish outfit are said to be reluctant to sell one of their star players, but are willing to work on a deal with the Blues.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Swansea striker Fernando Llorente, with Michy Batshuayi to move in the opposite direction on loan.
