Chelsea pursuit of French starlet revealed with action already taken

Mohamed-Ali Cho Chelsea

A report has claimed Chelsea are monitoring a French wonderkid ahead of a potential bid in 2022.

A number of top players were linked with the Blues this summer. They ultimately opted to bring in two big names. Belgium hitman Romelu Lukaku re-joined for a club-record fee.

He has got off to a great start at Stamford Bridge, scoring four goals in eight matches.

Lukaku was followed by Spain international Saul Niguez. The midfielder signed on a season-long loan and Chelsea have the option to make it permanent for €35m (£30m).

However, Saul is yet to show his true quality in Chelsea colours. He was hauled off 45 minutes into his debut against Aston Villa.

As is the way with Premier League clubs, scouts are already looking at potential signings next year.

Chelsea officials have now lined up an Angers teenager who has history in England.

CaughtOffside write that 17-year-old Mohamed-Ali Cho is being monitored by the club.

Timo Werner throws Chelsea future in doubt

Timo Werner throws Chelsea future in doubt

Timo Werner will reportedly reassess his Chelsea future of his situation doesn't change, with more updates on Antonio Rudiger and Hakim Ziyech.

He is a talented forward who can operate just behind the striker or as the main man.

Cho has featured in eight Ligue 1 matches this campaign and opened his account during a 2-0 victory over Rennes.

He looks destined to reach the top after displaying his maturity during those appearances.

Barcelona’s struggles to appoint Xavi could open door to two other potential Koeman successors

The report claims that Chelsea have watched him on multiple occasions. ‘Glowing reviews’ have returned each time.

Cho’s contract situation could lead to an offer. His current deal expires in 2023, which means Angers will need to sell to avoid losing him for free.

The starlet has already been on the books at one Premier League side. He left PSG in 2015 and went on to spend five years at Everton without making a first-team appearance.

Miazga drops Chelsea exit hint

Forgotten Chelsea defender Matt Miazga has claimed that he ‘sees his future in Spain’.

The USA international regularly gets shipped out on loan. He currently represents Alaves in La Liga.

In an interview, Miazga suggested that a permanent move could be on the cards.

“I’m enjoying everything,” he said. “I’ve been to several countries in my career, mostly in Europe, but in terms of football and quality of life, I really like Spain.

“Now I see why Spanish football is one of the best leagues in the world. The level is very high, and I know I’m going to learn and progress a lot this season.

“I definitely see myself with a future in Spain, but you never know in football.”
