Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly so desperate to sign for Real Madrid he keeps calling coach Zinedine Zidane.
Spanish site Don Balon report that the Borussia Dortmund striker is keen on a move to La Liga and is in constant co contact with Zidane.
Real are looking for a replacement for Alvaro Morata, but Zidane is not keen on the forward despite Mariano Diaz also leaving for Lyon, leaving his attacking options thin on the ground.
Aubameyang is prepared to settle for a place on the bench at the Bernabeu, despite his recent comments, such is his desire to join the Champions League winners, but Real remain unmoved.
Chelsea are also interested in the Gabon forward, who seems intent on leaving the Bundesliga club before the end of the month.
“I am still reflecting on whether I should leave or not,” said Aubameyang. “This club and these fans are incredible, but if I want to grow, I feel I need to leave.
“I need time to think about it. If I want to grow, I surely need to leave this summer.
“I am 27 and I need to grow. If I leave, it will only be somewhere I would play regularly.”
Aubameyang had an incredible season for Dortmund last term, scoring 31 goals in 32 Bundesliga matches to make him the top scorer in the league.
