Chelsea are one of clubs chasing Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, claims a report.
ESPN suggest Frank Lampard, along with Paris Saint-Germain are tracking the 22-year-old, as Chelsea assess their goalkeeping options ahead of the summer.
As far as any more details are concerned, there are none but Chelsea are believed to be looking to offload current number one Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer.
The 25-year-old Spaniard was axed for Willy Caballero, 38, in the recent 2-2 draw with Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
Chelsea spent £71.6million on Kepa Arrizabalaga in 2018 – a record fee for a keeper – but his form has become a concern.
“You make decisions every week and every day in this job. No decision is easy,” said Lampard recently.
“When it comes to a goalkeeper you probably do give it a little bit more thought and a bit more time, especially if someone seems to be the designated number one.
“That can’t be the end of the story. We have to be competitive. Willy trains well, he acts well and he played well against Hull last week. I decided to stick with him.”
As far as Henderson is concerned, he has enjoyed a brilliant season on loan at Sheffield United, keeping nine clean sheets in the Blades’ challenge for Europe.
The 22-year-old is under contract at Old Trafford until 2022 with the option of another 12 months, but his performances have alerted England boss Gareth Southgate.
Man Utd and Sheff Utd are keen to keep Henderson and the former are believed to be set to offer him a new deal, but it’s unlikely he will want to return to Old Trafford to play second or even third fiddle to David de Gea and Sergio Romero.
