Chelsea are hopeful that their latest contract offer will convince Callum Hudson-Odoi to stay with the club.
The young England winger has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich this summer, with the Bundesliga champions seeing a number of bids rejected – the most expensive of which was reportedly worth £35m.
Hudson-Odoi, who is recovering from an Achilles injury but has recently returned to first team training, has been hesitant to sign a new contract so far – with less than 12 months remaining on his present deal – but Chelsea’s latest offer will prove very tempting.
According to The Sun, the Blues have put an offer of £200,000-per-week on the table, for a five-year contract. Hudson-Odoi’s basic contract would be worth £180,000-per-week, with bonuses seeing it rise to £200,000.
Blues boss Frank Lampard has maintained his desire to keep Hudson-Odoi all along, revealing earlier this month: “We want Callum to stay, simple as that.”
