Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey is attracting interest from Chelsea and Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Jamaica-born winger has been in superb form this season with eight goals and four assists in all competitions since arriving in the Bundesliga.

Bailey moved from Genk in the summer for a fee of £12.4million after scoring 15 goals and producing 21 assists for his team-mates in two years at the Belgium club.

And, according to the Daily Express, his recent exploits will see Chelsea and Arsenal go head-to-head in a £30million battle to sign the 20-year-old in January.

The Gunners have sent scouts to watch Bailey twice in recent weeks, while the Blues reportedly had a £22million bid rejected by Leverkusen not long ago.

Both the Premier League sides are on the lookout for a winger with reinforcements required for both clubs in the wide areas.
