Chelsea to use Morata as bait in bid to land £60m Dortmund sensation
Chelsea could use Alvaro Morata as a makeweight to help them land Borussia Dortmund teenage sensation Christian Pulisic.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues believe they could tempt Dortmund into selling the 19-year-old star by offering them Morata in return.
The forward had a mixed first season in England; despite scoring six goals in his first six Premier League games, he went on a 13-game goalless run at the start of the New Year.
After his underwhelming campaign, he missed out on Spain’s World Cup squad and has since been linked with a departure from Chelsea – just one year into his five-year contract.

USA winger Pulisic has made just shy of 100 first team appearances for the Bundesliga club in three years, and is valued in the £60m bracket.
Chelsea are believed to be considering him as a replacement for Eden Hazard or Willian should either leave the club, and will use Morata to sweeten the deal with Dortmund.
Another Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi, impressed on loan at Dortmund in the second half of last season, but the German club are less interested in making the move permanent.
It’s not the first time Morata has been linked with a swap move away from Stamford Bridge, with a Juventus return that would see Gonzalo Higuain move to London also suggested in recent weeks, as well as a swap with Milan for keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
