Chelsea told to pay £35m to secure signing of Arsenal forward

Arsenal have told Chelsea the asking price for one of their forwards, according to a report.

The Daily Mail claims that the completion of Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang move from Dortmund to Arsenal could see Olivier Giroud pushed out of the Emirates Stadium.

Their report states that Chelsea are a possible destination for the Frenchman as they are chasing a target man.

However, they have told their London rivals to fork out £35m if he is to swap red for blue.

A possible temptation for Antonio Conte is that Giroud would be available to play in the Champions League.

They have been linked with moves for a number of strikers in January, including Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch, Ashley Barnes and Edin Dzeko.

Dortmund are said to be chasing Koln striker Anthony Modeste as Aubemeyang’s replacement, while reports on Monday have suggested the Gabon international is close to securing a £60m move to Arsenal.
