Chelsea host Man Utd as FA Cup 5th round draw is made

Chelsea will play Manchester United, while Manchester City will travel to Middlesbrough or Newport as the draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup threw up some exciting ties.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United side saw off Arsenal in the fourth round and will travel to London again after being paired with the Blues.

Chelsea beat United 1-0 in the final at Wembley last year, when Eden Hazard’s first-half penalty was enough to down the 12-times winners, who were then managed by Jose Mourinho.

Manchester City, the only other member of the Premier League’s ‘big six’ left in the competition, will face an away tie against lower-league opposition in the last 16.

Pep Guardiola’s quadruple-chasing side will face the winner of the replay between Sky Bet Championship Middlesbrough and fourth-tier Newport.

League One Doncaster will host Premier League opposition after being drawn against Crystal Palace, who knocked out Tottenham on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Everton’s conquerors Millwall will face fellow giantkillers AFC Wimbledon in another eye-catching battle.

The League One strugglers stunned West Ham 4-2 on Saturday after second-tier Millwall came from behind twice to beat Everton 3-2.

Watford will travel to either Portsmouth or QPR in the next round, while Swansea host the winner of Monday’s tie between non-league Barnet and Brentford.

Frank Lampard will take his Derby team to either Brighton or West Brom while Bristol City welcome the winners of the replay between Shrewsbury and Wolves.
