Chilean journalist confirms Man Utd interest in star Bayern midfielder

Arturo Vidal could be on his way to Manchester United this summer, says a Chilean journalist.

Maks Cardenas tweeted that Vidal “has offers from all over Europe,” with Jose Mourinho particularly keen.

The Bayern Munich midfielder is currently recovering from a knee injury.

Vidal, 31, could be leaving Germany this summer after three successful seasons.

He joined from Juventus in 2015, and has added a trio of Bundesliga winners’ medals to his trophy cabinet.

Now, he may be on the move, and with Chile missing out on the World Cup, it could be an ideal time to sign him.

Cardenas confirmed that Vidal is wanted by Manchester United, among others.

A feud with fellow Chilean Alexis Sanchez could be the only thing standing in the way of the transfer.

United could be set to make some major changes to their midfield this summer.

Not only has Michael Carrick retired, but the Old Trafford futures of Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini and even Paul Pogba are in doubt.
