Man Utd target told he has dazzling qualities to flourish at Old Trafford

Former Wales coach Chris Coleman has explained that Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey’s ability to play under pressure would see him flourish at Old Trafford.

Ramsey moved to the Serie A from Arsenal last summer on a four-year contract, after the expiration of his Gunners contract.

The Wales international has chipped in with four goals and one assist in his 24 appearances so far but a string of small injuries and bench appearances have hampered his progress.

As such, he has been linked with a move to United, with reports claiming that Paul Pogba’s return to Turin can only be sanctioned as part of a swap deal due to the financial uncertainties for clubs across Europe.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Coleman – who spent five years at the helm of the Wales squad and helped Ramsey to progress on the international stage, explained why the midfielder would be a good fit at Old Trafford.

“I’ve been fortunate to see the best of Aaron when I was manager of Wales,” Coleman said.

“He’s at his best when he’s under a bit of pressure, when he’s playing against the best teams and when he’s playing in the big games.

“If it’s not going to happen for him at Juventus he’s definitely the type of player who can handle playing for Manchester United.

“When you play for a club like Manchester United the jersey is much heavier than when you are with a smaller club in the Premier League.

“If you play for a big club you’ve got to handle that extra weight. He certainly has the appetite for that.”

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added to his midfield in January with the acquisition of Bruno Fernandes, but reports have suggested that the Norwegian wants another key signing to bolster his ranks.

Jack Grealish has been linked with a move to Old Trafford but the latest report suggested that the Aston Villa captain will not come cheap.
