Clinical Chairboys~end Cherries run
Jimmy Quinn’s Bournemouth had won two on the bounce coming into this game, but a strike from Danny Hollands which had cancelled out Matt Harrold’s opener was not enough.
After 21 minutes, Warren Cummings’ curling free-kick almost bounced in to give the visitors the lead but goalkeeper Scott Shearer got across well and turned it round the post.
Harrold then opened the scoring after 40 minutes when he calmly found the bottom corner for his first Wycombe goal after Craig Woodman’s long-range effort was deflected into his path.
The second half started slowly but the Cherries’ equaliser came just before the hour mark when Hollands smashed home after Cummings’ cross from the left.
Wanderers were back in front just two minutes later though when Matt Phillips’ cross was nodded in by Zebroski and McGleish came off the bench to make the points safe late on.
