Cologne star admits Klopp could tempt him into Liverpool move
Jonas Hector insists he is happy at FC Cologne – but admits he could be swayed by Liverpool if manager Jurgen Klopp gives him a call.
Hector, who is rated at around £12million by the Bundesliga club, has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer, with the player one name on a list of left-backs mentioned as a possible replacement for error-prone Alberto Moreno.
The 25-year-old is Germany’s first-choice left-back and could face England on Saturday evening.
“You always have to consider whether you are ready to take the next step. But at the moment I am not thinking about it,” said the full-back.
“I think what we have to do at FC Koln is enough. I also have with the national team a big tournament ahead of us.”
But then EuroSport asked how he would respond if he got a call from Klopp and Hector said: “Then I would start to think about it.”
