Ghanaian wonderkid Mizak Asante is being tracked by Premier League rivals Manchester United and Manchester City.

The 15-year-old forward scored a brilliant solo goal for Ghanaian outfit Golden Kick SC on Sunday.

Coming off the bench Asante managed to trick his way past four defenders out on the left wing, before rounding the keeper and firing home from a yard out.

It was a goal which took his side’s Division Two League play-off final clash against Mobile Phone People into a penalty shootout.

With people already pushing the goal forward for the 2021 FIFA Puskas Award, the youngster’s profile has sky rocketed.

But, according to the club’s chairman Joseph Epton, there was interest from United and City before he performed heroics at the weekend.

Serie A side Juventus and Belgian’s Genk are also understood to be monitoring the progress of the youngster.

Speaking to Accra radio station Onua FM, via Ghana Soccer Net, he said: “Before Mizak scored this goal we had already showed his highlights – and those of other players – to clubs abroad.

“But he was the only player we had feedback about.

“It has come from Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus and Genk.”

Asante models himself on Mbappe

Just exactly what level of interest City and United hold in the youngster is unclear. But both clubs are actively looking to scoop up the best young talent on a global scale.

And the one man that Asante models his game on is Paris Saint-Germain contract rebel Kylian Mbappe.

“Oh I watch a lot of players but the one I like very much is Kylian Mbappe. I like how direct he is with the ball and his pace as well. It’s Kylian Mbappe I really want to play like,” he said, via myjoyonline.com.

“I will be very happy with a call from the Black Stars. It is one of my biggest targets. I pray towards it, it is a dream of mine,” he added.
