Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has said he is hopeful that star striker Diego Costa will stay with the Blues for many years to come.
The Brazilian-born Spanish international was reportedly close to re-joining Atletico Madrid last summer and has since been heavily linked with a move to China.
However, Conte believes the situation is now under control and is looking forward to the prospect of managing the striker for the foreseeable future.
“Is everything calm now? Yes, Conte told the BBC’s Premier League Show.
“Diego is a really important player.
“The situation is very clear. He is very happy to stay with us. He is very happy to fight for the title.
“Will he stay here for a long time? Yes, I think so. I think so.
“I see him every day and I see his commitment, his behaviour is very involved in the team. He loves this club.”
