Coutinho move means Man City, Chelsea monitoring Bayern star
Manchester City and Chelsea are keeping an eye on Kingsley Coman, whose future could be affected by the arrival of Philippe Coutinho at Bayern Munich.
Coman enjoyed the best of his four seasons at Bayern last term, scoring 10 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Bundesliga champions have been replenishing their wings this summer, following the departures of long-serving veterans Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Ivan Perisic has already arrived on loan from Inter, and Coutinho is expected to follow on a similar formula from Barcelona.
Bayern announced following their 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin on Friday night that they had reached an agreement with the former Liverpool star, which, critically also secures them an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
Reports suggest Bayern are understood to be paying around €30m for the season-long loan, and will then pay Barcelona a further €70m in summer 2020 to sign him permanently.
His arrival will likely push Coman down the pecking order, and The Sun claim that Man City and Chelsea will be monitoring the situation.
The Frenchman remains under contract in Munich until 2023.
