Philippe Coutinho: Insists he has no desire to leave Liverpool

Philippe Coutinho has appointed Kia Joorabchian as his representative with the intention of securing a transfer from Liverpool.

According to the Brazilian version of, Kia Joorabchian, former founder of Media Sports Investments, and one-time representative of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano, ‘recently took the career’ of Coutinho, as well as former Manchester United target Felipe Anderson.

Joorabchian has teamed with Giuliano Bertolucci, dubbed ‘one of the most influential Brazilians in football in Europe’, and it is believed that their main role is to secure Coutinho a move away from Liverpool.

The sale of the 24-year-old is described as ‘their great goal’, with his future being prioritised over compatriot Felipe Anderson’s.

It is reported that Liverpool have no interest in selling their prized asset this summer, but Joorabchian’s presence could complicate things.

The 44-year-old is not a licensed football agent, but infamously brokered the deal between West Ham and Corinthians for Tevez and Mascherano’s move to the Premier League in 2006. The Hammers were fined £5.5m for entering into third-party contracts with Joorabchian’s company, MSI.

Coutinho has previously been linked to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but the Brazilian has previously insisted he is happy at the club.
