Cristiano Ronaldo TEAMtalk

Cristiano Ronaldo’s representatives have labelled reports linking the Juvenntus forward with an eye-catching move to Barcelona as “completely false”, according to a report.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague recently claimed a move to Barca for Ronaldo is in the running.

Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has reportedly offered his star client to several clubs, Barca the latest among them.

Indeed, the latest claims came after Paris Saint-Germain were linked with a move.

Balague claimed Mendes’ efforts are in a bid to help Juventus remove Ronaldo’s lofty wages from their expenditure list.

According to AS, however, Ronaldo is under no pressure to move and such reports are wide of the mark.

In fact, the representatives say the Portugal legend, who has two years left on his contract, wants to stay in Turin. Ronaldo is seeking to become only the second player to win the Champions League with three different clubs.

However, that wait will go on after Lyon knocked Juventus out of the competition last Friday. Ronaldo, though, has won two Serie A titles since his move from Real Madrid.

Indeed, it was another strong season for the forward, who scored 37 goals in 46 games in all competitions.

Ronaldo’s representatives feel Ronaldo is “very happy” in Turin and is not considering leaving for any club.

Balague did admit that Barcelona are not actively seeking to sign him, with the speculation solely generated by Mendes.

Balague insisted that Ronaldo’s £20million net earnings per year would present a significant problem to most clubs. Indeed Barca already have the highest wage bill in Europe.
