Crystal Palace complete signing of Arsenal star who is now on ‘right side’ of divide
Crystal Palace have announced the addition of Rob Holding to their squad after buying him from Arsenal.
The 27-year-old has signed a contract until 2026 at Selhurst Park after leaving Arsenal with 162 appearances behind him. He is the fourth and final signing for Palace in the summer transfer window after Jefferson Lerma, Dean Henderson and Matheus Franca.
Holding told Palace’s official website: “I’m excited to get started and get involved.
“Playing against Crystal Palace the number of years I have, seeing the fans and how intimidating Selhurst Park can be, and how loud it can get, I’m looking forward to being on the right side of that this time!”
According to Palace chairman Steve Parish, Holding has plenty of quality to bring to the club’s backline.
Parish added: “Rob is a player who will bring tremendous quality, possessing considerable Premier League experience for his age. Rob gives us options in two positions at the back, and we warmly welcome him to Crystal Palace.”
