Current PSG boss tips Arsene Wenger to be his successor
Unai Emery believes that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could become PSG boss at some point in the future.
The Frenchman announced on Friday that he would be stepping down as Gunners boss at the end of the season, while L’Equipe have linked him with the PSG job.
After a 22-year reign in North London, Goal state that Wenger has no plans to retire and may go straight into another job, possibly even as director of football.
However, former Sevilla manager Emery has tipped the 68-year-old to take another top managerial job, such as the one in Paris.
“He is a reference for the world of football and us coaches. He has given inspiration to this sport,” he told a news conference.
“Every year, a dozen coaches meet in Nyon and Wenger is a reference for all of us. He has always spoken well of me.
“I have great admiration for him as a person and as a coach. He has the quality and the experience to coach the best teams in the world, like PSG.”
