Dembele better than Hazard and De Bruyne – Sonck

Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has been described as Belgium’s “greatest talent”, ahead of the likes of Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne.

As well as Dembele, Hazard and De Bruyne, Belgium also have the likes of Christian Benteke, Marouane Fellaini, Vincent Kompany, Thomas Vermaelen, Jan Vertonghen and Anthony Vanden Borre available to them.

However, Wesley Sonck, who made 55 appearances for the national team, believes Dembele is the best of the lot.

“Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Vanden Borre… But I insist: the greatest talent is Moussa Dembele,” Sonck told Belgian news outlet HLN.

“Some may say they want Eden or De Bruyne, but Moussa has the most qualities – it’s not normal how strong he is on the ball.

“I’ve seen him during training turn Kompany into a fool.”
