Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has officially re-joined Deportivo La Coruna on loan until the end of the season.
The forward was linked with a potential late loan move to Everton, however he has returned to his former club as expected.
The 28-year-old was a bit-part player for Arsenal last season and struggled for opportunities under Arsene Wenger.
He was reportedly unhappy about losing the No.9 shirt to new signing Alexandre Lacazette, and has been pushing for an exit.
However, Perez’ agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle earlier confirmed to Sky Sports News that former club Deportivo La Coruna were in pole position.
He said: “I think the £10.9m (€12m) that Deportivo La Coruna have offered Arsenal is a great deal. Deportivo received £12.7m (€14m) when they sold him to them last summer.
“They are giving everything to make this transfer possible. Lucas wants to play but he has a contract with Arsenal. I am hopeful an agreement can be reached. Lucas wants to play in Spain.”
