Peter Odemwingie: On the move

Former Stoke and West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie is in talks to join Bolton Wanderers, sources have told www.teamtalk.com.

Nigerian international Odemwingie has been looking for a new club since the summer after being released by Stoke and admitted earlier this week he was prepared to drop into League One to kickstart his career.

Odemwingie saw his time at Stoke blighted by injury and he had a spell out on loan at Bristol City last season.

Odemwingie trained with Hull City during the summer as he looked to win a move to the KCOM Stadium but the move fell through after Steve Bruce left the club.

The 35-year-old has been keen to fix himself up with a new club and is now prepared to drop down to League One and join Bolton.

Bolton boss Phil Parkinson is looking to bolster his squad and he sees Odemwingie as a valuable addition to his plans as he looks to mount a bid for promotion back to the Championship.

Sources have told TEAMtalk that the player is set to sign a deal until January, with the Trotters having the option of an extension should he impress.
