Divock Origi sets out vision for Liverpool
Divock Origi says Liverpool are a team full of potential and are intent on landing more silverware this season.
The Belgium striker, who has yet to extend his Anfield contract, has his sights on more trophies after netting in the Champions League final win over Tottenham last month.
The 24-year-old currently has one year remaining on his contract and although negotiations are underway over a new deal, he has been mentioned as a transfer target for LaLiga outfit Real Betis, who are reported to be prepping a £10m approach.
Origi is understood to be ready to commit his future to the club with a new five-year deal.
“It always gives you the will to win more,” said Origi of the glory in Madrid, as cited by Liverpool FC. “I saw Sir Kenny and he said the first is nice, but the second one is even more special.
“We will try to go for a second one and win as much as possible, but we need to focus game by game again, do the same as last season, try and prepare as well as possible and then in the end, hopefully we’ll have a good result.
“There is a lot of potential in this team, we have everything here.
“We’ve already said it. We’ve made steps in our development, everyone is a year older now, we have experience of winning a cup, so I think we come back stronger and with even more hunger.”
