‘Done deal’ sees Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle learn fate of Borussia Dortmund ace

Borussia Dortmund stars Jude Bellingham and Youssoufa Moukoko
A Borussia Dortmund sensation courted by Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle is poised to put pen to paper on what Fabrizio Romano is describing as a ‘done deal’.
The German giant have long been heralded for their ability to turn promising young stars into genuine world class operators.
The likes of Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland both earned big-money koves to the Premier League on the back of their displays for Dortmund in recent times. Jude Bellingham and Youssoufa Moukoko are two more who could walk that same path.
Bellingham is Liverpool’s primary midfield target for the summer. A move could cost upwards of £100m and fierce competition will be provided by Man City and Real Madrid.
However, today’s update regards Germany international Moukoko who has been a revelation this season.
Moukoko has been manager Edin Terzic’s main man this season following Sebastien Haller’s unfortunate absence. The ex-West Ham hitman was diagnosed testicular cancer soon after joining and has been absent while receiving treatment.
Thankfully for all concerned, Haller’s treatment was successful and he’s since returned to the field this month. But in his absence, Moukoko was called upon to step up and did not disappoint.
He bagged six goals and four assists in 14 Bundesliga matches prior to the World Cup break. That alerted England’s heavyweights, with Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle all taking note.
Moukoko’s current deal expires at season’s end and as such, talk of either a cut-price January move or a pre-contract agreement was rampant.
For their part, Dortmund always maintained their desire to see Moukoko pen fresh terms. According to Fabrizio Romano, that’s exactly what’s about to happen.
The trusted transfer guru tweeted Moukoko is due to sign a long-term extension ‘today’ (Saturday) that’ll commit his future to Dortmund.
A three-and-a-half year deal running until the summer of 2026 will be penned. Romano described the imminent deal as ‘done’ and gave the extension his signature ‘here we go’ confirmation.
Moukoko is understood to have received significant interest and ‘many bids’ were tabled. However, for the time being at least, he only has eyes for Dortmund.
