Dortmund name Jadon Sancho exit date as mammoth price tag is set
Manchester United and Liverpool will have to pay a massive €150million (£126.95m) for Jadon Sancho if they want to sign the former Manchester City prospect from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2020.
According to German publication Bild (as relayed by Sport Witness) Premier League giants United and Liverpool are chasing the 19-year-old winger.
The England international could not break into the City first team and joined German club Dortmund in the summer of 2017.
The 19-year-old has been superb for Dortmund and is now rated as one of the best young attacking players in the world.
The winger has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 16 Bundesliga appearances so far this season, and has also found the net twice and has provided two assists in six Champions League matches.
During the 2018-19 campaign, Sancho scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists in the league for Die Borussen.
United and Liverpool both have been impressed with the teenager, according to Bild, who now state Liverpool and United have been told that Sancho can move on in summer 2020 – but will have to cough up €150m (£126.95m) to secure his signature.
Dortmund are seven points behind leaders RB Leipzig in fourth place in the Bundesliga table at the moment, and it is hard to see head coach Lucien Favre sanction an exit for Sancho in the middle of the season.
The German club have also progressed to the Champions League last-16 stage this campaign, and will face French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the quarter-finals.
